    While we likely need a lockdown or at the very least some actual safety measures in place before Christmas given the skyrocketing case numbers. It looks like once again, despite overwhelming scientific consensus, Boris can't deal with the political/voter fallout for doing the unpopular but necessary thing. So his career over public health prevails.
