Can this Apple M1++ architecture be used in iPhones? Would it improve the phone speed? Or do they already do this?

    • Apple has used their SOC chips in iPhones for many years. They did put the M1 in the iPads but so far it’s been the AX line.monospaced
    • The M1 has a ton in common with the A14 Bionic chip in iPhones.monospaced
    • Eventually the power of a M1 Pro/ Max will be in a pocket sized iPhone. But the AX in iiPhones are already powerful and nearly on par with standard M1 chips.NBQ00
    • You've got it the wrong way around - the M1 is the product of a decade-plus of iPhone development of SoCs, as Mono points out.Nairn
    • crazy how close they are tbh. A14 basically a 6-core M1 with a smaller footprintkingsteven
    • Form factor, batery life, energy usage are all important factors - maybe when Apple switches to 3nm process?
But why would u use a M1 Max to browse instagram?
