i think a pipe somewhere in my building broke.
    fun time.

    • The worst part of running out of water is not being able to flush the toilet and showeringGuyFawkes
    • lol opposite problem. i couldnt stop the water flow on one of the toilet if i open the valve. i know nothing about pluming. initially there was a surge of waterpango
    • going into the toilet tank. so i shut the valve behind the toilet and the main valve. now when i open the main valve and leave the valve behind the toiletpango
    • i still get large amount of water going in the toilet tank. i think the initial surge of water might have broke the valve for the toilet tank.pango
    • they were working on whatever the fuck they were working on the building pipes might have caused it.pango
    • other units had weird shit happened to their water as well.pango
    • is there no tank in the toilet?sted
    • if you have one does the water level is rising so high it is draining into the overflow pipe/valve?sted
    • if yes, there is no problem: clean fill valve
(you will find lots of videos about that on yt)
      sted
    • there is a tank. however the valve on the wall behind the toilet should stop the water. but it doesn'tpango
    • are you sure? because that isn't how most of the toilets work :) the valve inside the tank should stop the water at a certain levelsted
    • and i've saying both are broken.pango
    • *i'mpango
    • from the initial surge of water or whatever.pango
    • ah i see, that's fucked. I hope you don't have this issue elsewhere, it really sux to go to the closest restaurant every time y need a dumpsted
    • nahhh its fine to let the water flow for a bit. it just go down the toilet any way. but i do not want to leave it unattended for long period of time.pango
