  Lady in front of me in the Post Office earlier was sending an envelope to Ireland and had to be told by the postmaster that she shouldn't end the address with "UK". I mean, wut? She was at least 15 years older than I and had to be talked into crossing it out and replacing it with 'Eire'. Postmaster even had to show her search results on his phone to prove his point.

  She didn't even look that daft.

  I would have loved to have seen the faces of all the people in Ireland who might've come across that letter... .

  • fun fact i only found out recently: the postcodes in the south are individual to each house, so you technically just need POSTCODE, EIREkingsteven
