  that's bullshit

  first thing they'll do is check the circuit and check for any sign of water, rust etc...
  i did work for Orange mobile phones, we were returning the phones immediatly and charging 70 euros for the check..

  you'll have to be smarter than putting water over it to get it replaced.. or be very v ery lucky
