i don't trust crypto one bit, but was out with a friend last night and she showed me how her investment has gone up fourfold over the last couple of years.
not just bitcoin, but eth and a couple of others ¿batcoin?
i was stunned that you can still get growth like that, but what do i know? nothing it seems
- 'cuz it's a scam ofc********
- Of course it’s up the last couple of years.monospaced
- It’s not a scam if she just cashed some out. Easy peazymonospaced
- No, just because somebody cashes out from time to time doesn't make it any less of a ponzi scam********
- How much did she risk though? Seems it's not worth the bother unless you go in hard, but then going in hard is.. well, risky.Nairn
- £25k...hans_glib
- can you believe it? i mean, good for her, but fuck i wouldn't risk that kind of moneyhans_glib
- I've got a friend who, if he'd held everything he started investing in 2011 or so when bitcoin was new, would be with $82M when it's up around $40k a coinmg33
- *grumbles* i've friends who've gone in quite large. One sold his % of a house he co-owned to gamble on it. I never had him as a gambler, and he's not tech-litNairn
- Well your friend is still a millionairemonospaced
- Four times, haha!stewart
- it's gambling.
pretty much the same as: "I know a friend who bet $25k in Vegas and quadrupled his money" ...while there are thousands other people who lost $Krassy - ^except what goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas while every crypto head and their grandma wants to shill you coins 24/7********
- A lot of people are getting rich around you. I see young families buying $6MM brownstones in my hood. Guess where that money is coming from********
- ^ trust funds . LOLKrassy
- And like any inflated commodity, and there have been many throughout history, people profit. Regular people. It’s just how it is.monospaced
- 'cuz it's a scam ofc
