  haha, you don't make it easy, do you?

  Select three black blocks, Pathfinder > Unite, then ctrl + ] a few times to ensure it is the topmost element, or at least above the white, then Copy, then shift-select the white and Pathfinder > Minus Front.

  If that doesn't work, undo last Minus Front and try the other options in the Pathfinder menu.

  • Ah, good! I forgot to mention - if it only clipped one white, then you could Paste in place and repeat for the two other white bars.Nairn
