Your wooden shiv penetrates its throat and you pull it out opening the wound! It reaches up in pain as blood gushes down its neck onto its simple clothes. You reach to strangle the goblin and prevent it from alerting the others, but you can already hear 'booted' footsteps at a distance outside the open doorway. They echo as if in a long hallway but they definitely sound like they are quickly approaching.
Dennis rushes over to you, his eye wide open and gleaming green again, which gives the room an odd hue when it mixes with the dim, flat orange light coming from the hallway.
