I'm from quebec and I'm a separatist... and I'm also a big big fan of triumph. First discovered his stuff when i was working in L.A. I always been impressed by the stuff he comes up with. westminster, bon jovi, star wars, emninem and moby. That's hilarious stuff.
When i heard Obrian and triumph we're comming in canada I was thrilled. No I haven't been offensed by what triumph said about my people. I just thought it was... bad and not funny. I'm really desapointed the author (robert smigle) didn't make enough research and ended up saying easy things like ' french are fags' or ' speak english'
But hey! The goal was to make people laugh... more important... make the audience in the studio laughs. Poeple from Ontario. Poeple who's parents or grand parents were probably orangists and we're raised beleiving the french are supposed to be beaten and have to follow what we say to them. It was a good laugh for them.... because their history is sad and filled with hatred for the french.
