  This has happened to me with a few plastic things over the years, it's like the skin breaks down. I use WD40 on a bit of kitchen roll to take it off.
  It happened on some tools and even the coating on a belt buckle I had did it.

  • Once I use the wd40 I then just use a bit of neat washing up liquid on the paper towel to remove that. Do it sparingly for both steps to see.PhanLo
  • It also happened on a camera I had in a drawer for years. I managed to get it all off and it never effected it.PhanLo
