I was helping my mate demolish a fake ceiling in his hall yesterday and his wife who is a nurse, who used to work in the main covid ward in my city, (the Scottish capital) was saying the only covid patients they have in ICU are 3 people who had blood clots related to the vaccine.
She was saying it's been like that for ages and the nurses basically had nothing to do.
They've both had Covid and my friend aggressively says it's just the flu and only dangerous for fat people and old people.
But he also complained of having long covid at some points in the removal of wood from his hallway. They seemed to think another lockdown in the UK was inevitable because of the Indian variant, but I was only half listening as I was on limited time and we really needed to cut and bag the horrific tongue and groove ceiling we'd removed.
It did uncover some very nice 1960's wallpaper.I really can't see folk going for another lockdown, it's the summer, folk want to get fucked up on bevvy.
Since the end of last year I've been on construction sites and shop refits, which have had measures in place, but were quite lax, so I don't really feel like I've been in 'lockdown' really at all.
I think the gist of what my mate was saying was that the lockdowns were psy-ops, but the reasoning for them was a bit vague.
My mates wife had two friends with young children (age 5+11) that were both going to die of cancer because they hadn't got treatment so she was rightly angry I suppose.
