      is a receipt
      that proves you paid

      An NFT may contain a reference to an "artwork" but you are not buying the "artwork" you are buying the NFT.      palimpsest
    • Therefore several NFT may contain the same reference but each NFT is unique.

      Non-fungible token, it means it's unique and not interchangeable.      palimpsest
    • Even IRL when you sell an edition of prints you are buying a unique print. Print 1/100 is not the same as print 99/100. They are not the same print.palimpsest
