got tested for corona yesterday, didn't have it and don't have it.
was a bit under the weather for a few days so i thought...

anyway, did a little chat with a doctor about vaccines, safety, approval and all that. he was of the same opinion as mine, nobody knows what mRNA vaccines can or could cause in 5 to 10 years in terms of side effects, it's a first and testing of long-term effects is done on the population basically. secondly he told me if i wear a mask and don't go out much it's fine not to get a vaccine. and lastly, he also thinks there should be a choice of vaccines and not only one forced onto everybody... and he's american.

    • *i am speaking of israel where still there is only the pfizer vaccine, no sputnik :)renderedred
    • we joked about if you get a sputnik vaccine, a tattoo of putin appears on your chest...renderedred
    • Yeah, they have studied mRNA vaccine tech for over a decade already, right?
      ********
    • I mean, what are your options here... wait 5 to 10 years to get the COVID-19 vaccine?
      ********
    • nb, they DO NOT KNOW long-term consequences. Period. There is no way around this simple statement.pr2
    • Yes of course. So what are you saying, you gonna wait 5 to 10 years to get the vaccine?
      ********
    • Or get the J&J vaccine?
      ********
    • as the doc said options here in israel should e available by end of 21. i am getting sputnik.renderedred
    • and in the meantime, wearing a mask and not mixing with ppl too much, that's all.renderedred
    • I'm with you on the mRNA concern. I believe, from what I've read, it's 'probably' much safer than traditional vaccines, but fact is, we don't actually *know*Nairn
    • I say 'read' - much of what I've learnt about C19 comes from nighttime podcasts - Nature do a good weekly 'coronapod'-castNairn
    • (They split it off because people, myself included, got fed up with having their usual podcast swamped by C19 content. Shit got boring, real quick).Nairn
    • @nairn i am the same as you, i am not a scientist or a doctor, did tons of research, but my logic and gut feeling say something is off with it. that's all.renderedred
    • Oh, I've had a knot in my stomach all-throughout, with dark paranoias wondering at all the possible negativities at play here. I joke about Agenda 21, but... .Nairn
    • Frankly, since getting the vaccine I have been enjoying being able to write emails directly with my thoughts via Windows 10. Thanks Bill 5Gates!
      ********
    • Weird you talk about 5-10 year effects. What makes you believe they could be there at all? Weird.monospaced
    • btw, i think mRNA idea is genius for a vaccine. but, it must be properly tested over time, and not on people that didn't sign up for that.renderedred
    • Gut feelings don’t count. And I can’t follow your logic of “we don’t know so it probably is bad, but not for many years.”monospaced
    • My gut feeling is that they are safe all around. Logic backs that up. So I guess on that logic my argument is as valid as yours, but probably more.monospaced
    • yo mono you love twisting everything don't you?renderedred
    • nobody said the vaccine will kill, all we are saying is we don't know and not to test it on the unwitting population.renderedred
    • believe it or not YOU are the part of testing for long-term effects. i'm sure that is fine with you.renderedred
    • I never said it would kill. Derp. I’m not twisting ANYTHING. You said you’re afraid of risks in 5-10 years. I’m asking you to be specific.monospaced
    • If you’re thinking you shouldn’t take it because it might cause problems in a few years, please explain what problems and why you think that.monospaced
    • Of course I’m fine with texting the vaccine. I am because there is no evidence that it may cause issues. There are also no experts that say to worry.monospaced
    • There are also no vaccines that cause health issues after many years. Not even in long term testing. So logic doesn’t really point to concluding it may be unsafmonospaced
    • afair, he's already taken the vaccine, no, renderererered?Nairn
    • i didn't, mono did maybe idk...renderedred
    • what we do know is that mono owns stocks in big pharma ;)renderedred
    • I got the vaccine today (the day this post was written), as a matter of fact.monospaced
