If you just want to extract the audio from an MPEG movie or Quicktime movie then just import to Adobe Premiere and export audio only.. that's what I do..
Thing is the audio will be compressed twice so wil be of lower quality.. but if the original MPEG/MOV is quite high quality then it should be good enough...
