I can imagine this sort of thing might have a genuine purpose and value in a couple of decades time, the more digitised people's general consumption patterns become, and if perhaps SecondLife-esque worlds become a more general thing in a post VR world.

But now? Like all of these things, there'll be a few very lucky people who got on at the right time, a medium tail of interest with some money generated and then long term people will realise the pointlessness of it all and it'll be boring and people will move onto the next thing.

I read someone respond in a different forum that this sort of thing reminds of The Million Dollar Homepage, which sums up my thoughts exactly.

It's 'interesting' but it's just fomo bubble gambling and I'd not worry about feeling like I'm losing out on anything.

    .

    Or not.

    • haha, I just literally chatted to a friend saying it reminded me of the million dollar page. But I am very intrigued still.fadein11
    • Oh god I used the word literally, naughty Chris.fadein11
    • But I have a huge archive of stuff that may be interesting using this, the weird end of my stuff. I think I will give it a go. But yes I know exactly what youfadein11
