    Alright, Mac mini ordered, trade in set up for my iMac, ordered two BenQ PD2700U monitors, should have everything by middle of next week. With help from someone on Reddit, got all the cables I needed ordered for connecting two computers and going with a dual monitor setup.

    Next steps... migrating stuff from my iMac to my NAS to get the iMac under 1TB, upgrade to Big Sur, backup to Time Machine, and prep for a transfer to the Mini when it arrives.

    • And here's the thing... knowing Apple does trade-ins, if they release a better Mini later this year, I'll just trade up to that.mg33

    • I'd love to have those, but that's doubling my price. Truth be told, 5k is nice, but I don't do any serious video work and the BenQ gets great reviews formg33
    • photo editing and video work. The only thing that worries me is going from the iMac's 5120 x 2880 res to BenQ's 3840x2160 resmg33
    • Don't think I'll mind the switch from glossy screen to matte screen though.
