"The Mac mini can only drive two displays at a time, and one of those has to be over HDMI. Since that HDMI port is HDMI 2.0, it doesn’t have the throughput to handle 4K at 120Hz, or 8K at 60Hz."
- https://www.reddit.c… - You can have two monitors, one via Thunderbolt and one via HDMI.ideaist
- That would really only be critical for 4k video work though, right?mg33
- Yes and only if you need to show 120fps at 4k, which nobody produces. That’s a spec for twitch gaming only. Nobody does that on macs anyway.monospaced
- The only devices that utilize that spec are the PS5 the new Xbox and high end pc gaming rigs with GPUs that cost more than the Mac mini.monospaced
- So the Mac mini can drive two 5k displays no problem. Probably more.monospaced
- You guys were talking about daisy chaining thunderbolt monitors, which can't be done, so I thought I'd link something useful.zarkonite
