Gah.. just dodged a bullet..
guy was selling a Akai MFC42 filter in Melbourne..
All seemed legit, did the transfer..Guy then goes silent..
then, 22 hours later he comes back saying he had another guy who was going to buy it and he had actually already transferred the money before I did and so he is going to let him have it.
tells me he will just refund the money once it clears the bank..
frantically called the bank, and after an hour on hold finally get thru and the transfer was still in pending as it was a new transfer contact.. transfer canceled with 40 minutes to spare in the 24 hour hold..
$1000 saved..
still want a MFC42..

- been on the hunt for such a long time.. almost had one in Berlin back in 2014 for $600.. had to pass as I was a couple hundred short..autoflavour
