The notion that a man who twice lost the popular vote, the last time by 7 million votes...who presided over the most disastrous handling of a crisis in modern history...who was responsible for Republicans losing control of ALL THREE branches of government...may make a comeback, is the funniest thing I have seen in years.

If this is the Republican version of "winning"...just wow.

    • His tax cut was something only he had been able to accomplish.instrmntl
    • But agreed he’s scuminstrmntl
    • Factor in the electoral college advantage, and he’d only need swing 46k in the right places to win. Not to mention what a few crooked repub legislators can do.12xu
    • Nate Silver posted something a while back about how Trumpism is weaker than the Democratic coalition...but that establishment Republicanism is weaker than that.yuekit
    • So that explains why they are terrified of alienating the Trump voter base, even if those same voters also create a problem for them.yuekit
    • Weak parties = strong partisanship12xu
