What are any of you with home studios doing for acoustic treatments? We've just gotten done painting our basement and doing some other things down here, and I'm starting to work on sound treatment ideas for a room that has two music areas: a long wall and entertainment center with stereo speakers facing a couch to listen to records, and a wall perpendicular to that with computers, recording monitors, and desktop speakers.

Been debating reflectors on the back wall, or absorption panels that might make for a nice design on the wall. Any thoughts?

Or this, which will look better than columns of those diffusers:

There's a third option to do printed fabric panels with absorption material beneath them, which will be the most expensive, but certainly the best looking.

    • I need to do some treatment too and haven’t really looked into it yet. I do know there are different reasons for using diffusers vs absorbers vs bass traps etc.mort_
    • As in they treat different problems.mort_
