At the end of the day, after reading way too many articles, I’m left with this gut feeling. The MAGA followers are not that different from Democrat supporters. Their tweets of a stolen election are no different from 2016. They have unfortunately have become more radicalized than the dems sure.

Democrats aren’t necessarily happy with Biden as their president. Better than Trump is what seems got him across the line. But the true Democratic agenda won’t be achieved, despite having both houses in congress.

What is happening is the disenfranchisement of Americans. The gap between the rich and poor (middle class is now a part of that too) is far too wide. Americans are unhappy and aren’t sure how to vent out the their frustrations. Trump offered a false bridge or shortcut to the wire, but it was all a sham. The democrats offer the same bridge, but somehow seem to “fall short” of party expectations due to opposition from the other side.

There will be no single pay healthcare. There will be no true environmental reform. It’s all a mirage. The MAGA people had the balls to act on it. The dens are more cucks, I think is what the younger generation would say.

Needless to say I’ve been wrapped up in all this the same as everyone else, only to come to the conclusion that my interest is a waste of my time and effort.

There should be a party of the poor that trult represents the disenfranchised (99%), but the decision between Pepsi and Coke distracts us from the other options and unity.

    • Trump offered a false bridge or shortcut to the inside, but it was all a sham*instrmntl
    • At the end of the day MAGA want the same as us, but have been brainwashed to think their needs and wants are different, much like liberals. It’s all different..instrmntl
    • packaging, but the adventure you choose throws you down different Facebook/Google rabbit holes.instrmntl
    • Dems pointing out how ridiculous MAGA is supporting a party that doesn’t care about them should self reflect.instrmntl
    • 4 Mikkellar beers in so I could feel completely different tomorrow. Thanks for reading all. Please discuss as I’d like to hear how others feel.instrmntl
    • I’m hesitant to think a 78 year olds reflects my interest, and has cabinet picks have signaled that.instrmntl
    • If you call what happened “balls to act on it” then you’re as full of shit as this nonsense assessment. Fuck that.monospaced
    • Biden isn’t selling lies like Trump did. He ain’t selling the radical left agenda! That is a right wing conspiracy too. Holy shit how off can you be?monospaced
    • First of all, dems aren’t all radical. Dems aren’t a homogenous party of group thinkers.jtb26
    • And the gap you speak of? It was the Republican agenda that actively worked hard af to widen the gap. Dems only want to close it a bit.monospaced
    • This conclusion only works if you believe the lies spewed by the right.monospaced
    • At least not like the GOP has become. Fringe radicals calling for the reversal of elections in 2016 did not receive majority support of the party.jtb26
    • The “both sides” argument here is hot trash. Of the many marches and protests against Trump, few were this violent.jtb26
    • how anyone here could look at the last 12 months and go "yeah but dems are bad too!" is kind of insane to me.inteliboy
    • BLM riots are over actual grievance, and instigated by police tactics. Not lies about a stolen election.jtb26
    • also a really lazy way to view the political climate in the USA.inteliboy
    • Standing up against systemic racism, supported by the right, was balls. Marching on the Capitol over a false premise was embarrassingly pathetic.monospaced
    • how anyone here could look at the last 48 months and go "yeah but dems are bad too!" is kind of insane to me.neverscared
    • Great feedback and discussion. Balls to act on it is not an approval on their actions and far from it. And nobody is talking about selling an agenda, notinstrmntl
    • sure where that’s coming from. I mentioned Biden is more central?instrmntl
    • And I never said Dems are bad. There are a lot of assumptions being made. I think the Republicans are horrific.instrmntl
    • However, the point was that their movement appears to be a group of down and out people that have taken their frustrations and misguided their focus to hate.instrmntl
    • However at the core, perhaps they can redeemed and redirected. That should be a core value if the Dems want to untie the country.instrmntl
    • Unite*instrmntl
    • I’m trying to be as I objective in my writing as possible, but that leads people to fill in their own views into the words and label them as my own.instrmntl
    • There needs to be a lesson in this. Yes arrests need to be made made and examples set. But after that then what? Hope the 74mil people see the light?instrmntl
    • As the gap becomes wider, people become more disenfranchised. Dems discounting their opponents instead of trying to help gets us nowhere.instrmntl
    • Not all of us can be rich kids from Santa Barbara.instrmntl
    • It seems lazy to not analyze why they have become this way and not want to help for the better of society.instrmntl
    • Agreed not everyone can have the luxury of living in a diverse city. We need to prevent homogenous areas from becoming racists and need to figure out how.instrmntl
    • Reassessing our police dept requirements are one obviously. School districts etc need to be re-examined.instrmntl
    • Just pointing out they are assholes doesn’t help anything. You’re just stating the obvious to make yourself feel better.instrmntl
    • Once agian, the comparison falls apart the second you look at the Dem grievances. They are good causes. The republicans can't say the same.monospaced
