  I'm thinking police not showing any resistance to the intruders was the best thing.
  If police beat the shit out of them, the whole nation would watch these victimized mobsters and right wing media would cry out for these peaceful protestors and the coming of a fascist leftist rule.

  I don't think that any mainstream republican liked what they saw. So Trump either knowingly or not used his last card in the worst possible way.
