So either Apple has a bug in the software or apple is selling phones from their US site that have either
a) defective batteries, or
b) non-genuine partsAfter two hours of debating with Apple Support via chat, this is the best I get from them:
Since all their techs are booked (indefinitely) except for some small town over 100 miles away, they have agreed to replace it by mail.
However, if they decide later that it wasn't defective, I'll be charged the full price of a new phone. In the meantime, they're holding that money.
After agreeing to this and entering my credit card information I get all the confirmation emails.
Ten minutes later, an email informing me I'll be charged $29 for this service. At no point earlier did anyone mention this fee.
I'll be waiting until after I have it all sorted out and then calling my credit card company to reverse the $29. Fuck that bullshit.
- Seriously this is really shitty service. Can not return defective product so have to pay money to let them decide if they will replace it.********
- Fuck Apple********

- and that's why my Apple stock keeps going up and up! Keeping throwing money at them, please (no Apple products here, just stock)formed
