    La Scala
    Review from Yelp:
I've never been a huge fan of La Scala- mediocre food in a stuffy atmosphere, but after reading about their secret indoor NYE dinner they were planning to host by reservation only, I can confidently say I will never dine here again. It's despicable they would even consider doing something like this given what's going on with covid in our city right now. Not only are they making a mockery of the stay at home orders, but they went out of their way to create secret invites highlighting their "indoor" dinner. Shame on you. If the owners want publicity, they should deliver food to all our local hospitals/front line workers on NYE- not host a super spreader event. Unbelievable.

    • This reminds me of that joint in Staten Island that declared itself an 'autonomous zone' to bend the rules. Totally failed ofc.face_melter
    • Only good thing to come from that debacle was the owner running over a cop and breaking his legs. Can't imagine La Scala being so proactive.face_melter

    • oh man, since when is 20 people distanced in a restaurant a super spreader event??!monospaced
    • It’s a NYE party/event. Not sure where you see a 20 people cap.instrmntl
    • Where do you see party event? It’s dinner.monospaced
    • It’s just a restaurant dude. I’ve even been there. They are trying to get some business even though inside dining JUST shut down there. Super spreader my ass.monospaced
    • We just rented out an entire restaurant for a dinner. All couples at their own table with distance between each. It was awesome. Nobody else ther.monospaced
    • It’s been reported as an NYE party. LA Hospitals has 0% capacity and CA is under lockdown. It’s indefensible.instrmntl
    • Was it awsome for the people who were cajoled into serving at an event in the middle of a pandemic? Or, as usual, you barely give a fuck about working people?face_melter
    • Or did everyone bring their own food, got their own drinks, washed the dishes and cleaned the venue after?face_melter

    • reported as a party before it happened? It’s literally a dinner. In a sleepy restaurant. You’re listening to too many Karen’s who love to Yelp shame.monospaced
