    Yesterday, I watched »Great Expectations« on TV. It was the first time I watched a movie starring Gwyneth Paltrow which is a bit odd as she is not a newbie.

    I was in the right mood for such kind of movie and enjoyed the weight of the words and the turgidity. You could definitely tell, it was based on a Charles Dickens novel from 1800 something.

    This quote would work well as an artist statement:

    “Sometimes the water is yellow, sometimes it's red.
    But what color it may be in memory depends on the day.
    I’m not going to tell you the story the way it happened.
    I’m going to tell you the way I remember it.”
