I've only ever been recognised once in my entire life by a total random.

I was in a Richer Sounds (Hi-Fi shop) with my Father, who had come over to London for a weekend, and was wanting to buy a new sound system. We ended up in there in Holborn, a part of town that as lovely as it is, I've never had much to do with.

We're in there browsing and one of the employees walks up, scrunches his face and excitedly says something like "Hey, aren't you the guy who was selling magic mushrooms at Glastonbury?!"

My father was never much on-board with my choices during that particular period in my life, so this wasn't really the best time to have the one and only public recognition for some bullshit I ever had, or likely will have.

Fuck being famous. I can't think of anything worse. Let me be.

    • Jim Carrey, thoughmaquito
    • I kid. I totally agree w you. I have some "famous" artist friends and it's quite annoying how the people behave around them.maquito
    • Fans act like they knew them, like they were friends. It's pretty bizarre.maquito
    • Yeah. Try being rich first, and see if that doesn't check your boxes. Fuck fame. Money, yes, Fame, nah!jagara
