    Just had the "So... er.. how do you identify?" conversation with someone who works here. They're outwardly female and really nice, but they've always been a bit 'troubled' (given the conversations I've overheard over the last year or so).

    I only asked them because they corrected someone when they were referred to as 'She' last night.

    Sad thing is, they admitted to having been abused and coupling that with their baggy-clothed but fundamentally feminine appearance, I couldn't help but mentally go all Psyche 101 and draw my own conclusions as to why they're on the path they're on.

    Second person this year I've found out has been abused, the other being a very good friend. I actually cried a bit (in anger) when my friend told me, and I felt myself welling up a bit here.

    God forbid I ever come across a sexual abuser. I'm not sure how I'd react. Not well, I suspect.
