Mac Mini with Apple Silicon verified as incredible.

3rd party support for M1 limited; betas of Adobe software limited to Photoshop AND encountered some errors with Illustrator (which uses emulation), BUT overall floored by the performance AND majority of emulation isn't even noticeable.

    9/10.

    : )

    • Does the Adobe suite run in emulation?Gnash
    • I’m looking at the mini nowGnash
    • I read that Rosetta translates most of the code at launch, and then runs it almost natively after that. It's not really emulation, believe it or not.monospaced
    • Yes and pretty much same performance or even better as nativeNBQ00
    • Me likelyGnash
    • What @monospaced said; you install the translation / Rosetta piece the first time you run an unoptimized app...ideaist
    • ...Takes 3 seconds and MOST apps run seamless afterwards. Very much can see the day where "This app is unoptimized and will be deleted" happening.ideaist

    • Also, I got the 512GB to save some cash AND cut down dramatically on ship time.

Everything is optimized for size these days; Dropbox, photos, etc.

    • I have a 512gb now, I’m always trying to make room. I work from 2 diff computers and all my stuff is synced via DB. So would love a bigger driveGnash
    • Use the cloud sync feature in DB. put everything online unless you're working on it.ArmandoEstrada
    • Yeah "Smart Sync" @ArmandoEstrada mentioned is mint. I tried 1TB version but dropped delivery time to January and needed it asap.ideaist
