Every day, every single day, Trump says that there are irregularities and that therefore he won. He repeats that he won! This line of reasoning is obviously ridiculous. Even if there were some irregularities (there weren’t, by the way) that doesn’t automatically make him the winner.
Even a child could understand this, so why is it so difficult for some people to get it? Why are Republicans silent? Why don’t they shut him up? No one in government thinks he won. No one. Everyone knows he’s a liar, so why not deal with him?
My guess is that they figure he will burn himself out and in the process he will naturally distance himself from Republicans. They want that distance because they were all complicit in his rise to power and now they want to wash the stink off.
- Honestly, most people in politics in DC are disgusting, but Republicans are fucking human scum.********
- I don't think there is any masterplan here. People are just doing what they usually do, taking the path of least resistance.yuekit
