Our new TV has me going down the rabbit hole of router- and DNS-level ad blocking.
- My tv it's an old Phillips tft, bright and crisp as first day, hope it does another pair of years more, ummm... 32 inchesOBBTKN
- Will ask you then, what the H is this ad blocking thing, good luck!OBBTKN
- Can't you just turn all the smart shit off and plugin a [net TV stick of your choice]?
I've read a lot of whinging about Smart TVs phoning home latelyNairn - Apparently many TVs these days show adverts in the menus.
Really not sure who asked for that, outside of companies marketing departments...Nairn - I think if I just point the tv to AdGuard DNS it should block ads in the menu and apps like YouTube. Will try later.i_monk
