From what I'm seeing from conservatives, they may skip right past Trump and go for someone like his crackpot lawyer Sidney Powell. Or Michael Flynn...Randy Quaid?
Everything is about "anti establishment" credibility for right wingers now and the more of an insane conspiracy theorist you are the more credibility you have.
These leads people like Trump to have to do a dance where they are simultaneously acting out the fantasy storyline these people want to see (such as pretending the whole election was stolen) while also not going so damage their support from party donors and officials etc. It would hilarious to watch if there weren't real life consequences to all of this.
