Looks like the M1 is a beast indeed
- Was waiting for this post! :)
Seems like Apple's new architecture is a paradigm change.Nairn - Funny that £5m worth of apple products stolen in the UK on the motorway called M1. Coincidence?shapesalad
- Can't wait to see what the M2 or M1X or whatever Pro version delivers.
I'm a PC, and I'm hard to this shit.
I think I might go Apple.Nairn - utopian must be so happy to see apple not innovatingmonospaced
- @monospaced Stop bullying.
: )ideaist - Hopefully some proper Thunderbolt expansion hubs come out. Like, 1 to 4 expansion without all the other shit like HDMI and card readerssection_014
- Useless for me without bootcamp/windows support. Apart from my Mac media box for Apple TV, I guess this will be the last stop for me on the Apple train.SteveJobs
- Sorry guys, but, I'll wait to the next push from IntelOBBTKN
- yeah I'm in that club 2 :Dsted
- in 3-4 years we will see how strong is actually the apple fanbase :)sted
- As an animator this seems like a toy. I need a machine with at least 32GB of ram...ideally a lot moredkoblesky

- @dkoblesky: first of all these new batch of M1 machines are not necessarily meant for real pro (even though you can do it) stuff except maybe the 13’’ mbp...NBQ00
- ...secondly maybe you should try a M1 MBP with 16GB first before you can say it’s not enough. Maybe the M1 with 16GB is like an intel with 32GB or even 64GBNBQ00
- Which is why an iPhone only has like 6GB of RAM but feels snappier than a Samsung with 12GB of RAM.NBQ00
- @dk there’s a huge chance that the idea of NEEDING an amount of memory comes to an end. Especially if what you have is this efficient.monospaced
- The current M1 blasts through rendering jobs without getting warm. Beats a 64gb system using only 8gb (Cpu only). Says a lot.monospaced
- okay....I'm impressed with this.utopian
