Went to a friend's house this weekend for their daughter's 4th birthday party. 95% outside distanced, but shook some hands.

They just called to say the husband tested positive for COVID, but nobody else has in the two days since the party.

    • that was lucky, my nephew went to a gathering over Summer, 1 friend tested positive couple of days after, 5 of the 8 people who were there also got it.fadein11
    • My brother and niece then got it in days following. Seems ridiculously contagious compared to a cold or other virus.fadein11
    • It takes up to a week, sometimes 10 days for the Covid virus to take hold. I would self quarantine ASAP for at least 14 days.utopian
    • A friend of mine was just diagnosed 7-8 days later after attending an outside party. He is sick as shit and can't get rid of the disease. He's fucked!utopian
    • I'm not sure why anyone would downvote this?utopian
    • Shaking hands?! Why?
      ********
    • Shaking hands is what friends do. Man is an actual surgeon at a top hospital and his wife is too. They are super insanely safe so it was a surprise.monospaced
