I can’t even imagine a future where I get on the subway without a mask on.

It’s weird to think it, but I might wear a mask in crowded indoor spaces for the rest of my life. Or, at least several years.

Doesn’t seem weird in Asia, why would it seem weird in NYC?

    Anyone else feeling this?

    • Agree. I will also keep the 2m personal space force field around me.shapesalad
    • Only people with health problem should wear a mask in public. People that feel sick should stay home and wear a mask if going outside. Problem solved.ApeRobot
    • Otherwise, it's a cycle that we will never break.ApeRobot
    • ApeRobot, remember you can still transmit it before you feel sick, hence everybody wearing a mask is a good precaution.Nutter
    • You can listen to ApeRobot, or, you can listen to every health professional and public health org right now. Up to you... bet your life on it!

    • @Nutter Yes, but for asymptomatic to contaminate, you need to spit in someone mouth directly. Your body do not emanate rona.ApeRobot
    • @nb Health professionals that have big interest in pharma group that want to sell a vaccine for a virus that is still mutating.ApeRobot
    • Chloroquine, zinc, vitamin A and D, make exercices, don't eat trash food.....but no, take some expensive inefficient drugs and live in fear expecting a miracle.ApeRobot
    • Once again, folks! Read these posts and decide for yourself!

    • Mask wearing in Japan hasn't always been about illness prevention, more about the goofy tooth situation they have.shapesalad
    • Sorry light joke. But you'll find a lot of Japanese identify as 'shy' and find a mask comforting, something to hide behind.shapesalad
    • I’ve never heard that. My Japanese friends told me they wear a mask when they think they might have a cold, to spare others. But that was 15 years ago....

    • Yeah, well. I'll stick with the mask, thanks.Continuity
    • How do you think masks and vaccines are "living in fear" but taking chloroquine, zinc, A, D, and eating only certain foods is completely normal?

    • I think everything will fall in the place it was before gradually. You dont break ways of living that were there since severals decades in 1 year.Bennn
    • 55 million people died during the Spanish flu and folk went back to not wiping their hands after taking a shit. I'm sure it won't take long til buffets are backPhanLo
    • A year without buffets and I still managed to get fatter.

    • ^Man I miss buffets, but also same. :-)PhanLo
    • I reckon masks will become somewhat part of life for a while though. On Tokyo trips in the past, it's just a normal part of daily life to see people with them.PhanLo
    • While In Asia I always felt like I was breaking rules when I didn't have one on & I have no doubt it will become the norm for health conscience people.ayport
    • I wear a mask outside wherever I go since March, I got black ones to match my black clothes, no issues whatsoever. Will continue to do so for as long...
