I'm happy Trump lost but you can't just gloss over the fact that Americans observed the events of the past four years and then 70 million of them went out and voted for him. That's fucking insane IMO and very concerning about the future of USA. It tells you a huge part of the country is now living in an alternate universe from the rest of us...and also from most of the rest of the world.

America is going to have this radicalized, conspiracy believing, "nationalist" movement for the foreseeable future. Including quite literally a cult in the case of QAnon. And there are enough people willing to cash in on this trend that I don't see it ending anytime soon.

That's the price you pay for letting someone like Trump become president and dominate the airwaves for four years. Other countries pay attention...don't let this happen to you!

    • I always believed that at least 50% of America was: stupid, arrogant and self-entitled selfish cunts. This election cycle proved me right, once again.utopian
    • I wouldn't quality them all as being okay with the past four years. the majority are one issue voters - 2nd amendment, abortion, etc.dorf
    • Nearly 50% of all voters still voted for the sociopathic, megalomaniac, narcissistic, incompetent ass-clown. America is fucked and broken beyond repair.utopian
    • The only thing that that Biden can really achieve in the next four years is to soothe the pain and slow down the hemorrhaging from both the right and left.utopian
    • Honestly I do not expect anything more from Biden than a band-aid job. The country is too divided and the damage caused by Trump will be everlasting.utopian
    • Biden and Obama sat idly by for eight years and let the circumstances that created Trump happen.face_melter
    • You could easily imagine Biden gets in there, gets bombarded with bullshit for four years, and then it's Tucker Carlson 2024 or something.yuekit
    • Or perhaps Don Jr...maybe I'm not setting the sights low enough hahayuekit
    • What is most frustrating are the institutional advantages the Republican Party has, from the Electoral College to political drawing of districts, that basicallyyuekit
    • serve as affirmative action for white conservatives. Embarrassing and shameful given the country's history.yuekit
    • What exact circumstances did Obama & Biden create besides affordable healthcare and being black while President that triggered white America?utopian
    • Exactly yuekit! You're totally right! And sadly he influenced people everywhere, we have lots of Trumpists/Q/conspira... over here nowBennn
