The stupid fucking thing about America is there absolutely should be a populist revolt against the inequities of state and commercial collaboration against the welfare of all.

However, an inexorable tie to media-as an American institution but not as an understood communicative system-has basically fucked America for god knows how long at this point.

The media, in any and all forms, propagates a duality of American ideologies, but both sides of that balance are nested in capitalism. One is just slightly more sympathetic toward a select few people within our borders.

This makes liberals/democrats feel like this giant important piece of balance on a political spectrum, when really they are more like a thorn in the side of straight up evil imperialism.

Trump fucked the system because he exposed it all - the same way Bernie has always been a threat to, as well. They're the ones that link the facade of how we treat media with the actual nature of how commerce controls extensions of branded power in the United States.

What you see now is a swath of liberals who require the institutions of American imperialism to justify their holier-than-thou "intellectual" approach to globalist policies, simply begging to reinstate the normalization of balance between the state and the media to control the masses and maintain a sense of irrationality amongst any ideas that would counter the profit-driven nature of this country.

Make no mistake, Trump voters are not wrong about the necessity of telling the American state to fuck off - they simply idolized the inevitable result of that state, instead of the one who could right its path.

    • this is more of a "drunk rant posted to notes / copied to qbn"colin_s
    • When you start thinking of the idea of America as a MLM scheme the infinity loop of propaganda (on all sides) starts to make a lot of sense.ben_
    • if the past 4 years has pushed me to anything it's to divest my purchases out of the USA as much as possible. It's really fucking hard, but necessary.ben_
    • This collection of words didn't make much sense... but I gave it a chance until the part about, "he exposed it all" lol 100% nope. nice try.cherub
    • You lost me at "stupid".
      Sorry.

    • I think it goes beyond liberal or conservative. I think it's globalism vs nationalism/populism now.IRNlun6
