Prediction: Number of deaths in the second wave will just about equate to the number of 'cases' in the first wave.

Thus begins some kind of seasonal see-sawing downward in terms of lethality as each corona splinter battles its cousins, until we're somehow able to live in concert with this new 'bad cold'.

The vaccines will work - they'll temper the immediate excesses of the above, helping to modulate the sinusoidal slowing of the curves.

And then, in 2023, as was planned all along, the final and intended vaccine strain will be prescribed to a population which has accustomed itself to absolute Track'n'Trace tracking, social metrics and otherwise, and the cull will begin.

Some of us, as chosen, will get the good vaccine. Others of us will get the "oh no, what a terrible accident!" untreatable leukaemia in five years variant.

Only way to save the Earth is to kill most people.

    Get ready.

    • What makes you think you'll get the good version after exposing the entire plot like that

    • I have two horrid theories going around my head, of which this is one, and the other actually unpublishable. As in, I could only whisper it into your ear.Nairn

    • Not trying to be dramatic, but the entire funda of its rationale is that the its concept can't be communicated in anything other than the absolutely personal.Nairn
    • -the. Damn poor editing.Nairn
    • it was a thought experiment that went wrong, and I literally can't see any way out of it. Because if it's real, it's .. not wonderful.Nairn

I think that's the problem - I've not had kimchi in at least two weeks now. My chakras are all out of sync...

    • Couldn't this be done with the regular flu vaccine we all get every. single. year. Your logic is flawed.OP31
    • Sure, but now we have previously-unheard of (and, often - willing!) constraints and tracking of individuals, and it's only going to become moreso.Nairn
    • Prob. You're right, why not? But, get your kimchi stuff stocked asap. Wife will thank you; it's not going to be easy listening to this theories during dinner ;)OBBTKN
    • If there's one thing wifey will not thank me for, it's my eating kimchi.

    • Of why I can't transmit it. I don't entirely credit it, but its logic is absolute and if there's even a 0.001% chance it's real, it requires my respect, lol :)Nairn
    • It started as the idea for a story, and then I was like 'wtf?' - the more I thought about it, the more absolute and plausible it became. Now it's my albatross.Nairn
    • that's all it is - a story ;-)
