If Trump wins there's almost no chance he wins the popular vote. The polls would have to be off by around 10 points, and even his own campaign isn't pretending this will happen.
So that means if he wins the USA will be run for almost a decade by the opposite of who most Americans voted for. I think he might be the only president in modern history that this applies to.
And thanks to this we'll also have a 6-3 ultraconservative Supreme Court (maybe it will be 7-2 eventually) that again is the opposite of what most people in America want.
I understand that's "the system" but the world is full of systems that almost everyone recognizes as rigged and unfair. Russia's for instance, or what they have in Hong Kong right now.
I doubt it will change at least until the Baby Boomers die out, but at the very least America should stop lecturing other countries about their democracy after this.
- Correction, he would be the only president in the entire country's history this applies to. Strange the media doesn't mention this more often, as anti-Trump asyuekit
- a lot of them are. If he wins again I think there will be a lot more questioning of the EC system especially among younger people.yuekit
- Trouble is, there is an almost never-ending line of GOP ghouls ready to take over after, nastier and more rancid than Trump - by a long chalk.face_melter
