for a while i thought he was going to pull off re-election, but ever since he got covid i think the party's over for ol' donnie. he might try some staying in office bullshit but he doesn't have the military support to try a coup.
i'll be very interested to see, once he's gone, how many - and who - will begin to act like all of the problems in the USA that he helped bring to front and center in the media (police brutality, white nationalism, financial crimes / late capitalism) are now suddenly no longer problems
trump is merely a symptom, not the virus, and i don't know how i will function if we suddenly are all supposed to start pretending we live in a world where guys like him don't exist again
- I get the sense that the tide has turned as well, partly in due to how well Biden’s handled himself and how great Kamala’s been_niko
- I wouldn't take anything for granted, here. As a lot of commentators pointed out, HC looked set to win, but the orange turd came in from behind — so to speak —Continuity
- and won, despite people having seen how much of a waste of human DNA he is during the campaign.Continuity
- HC was doing pretty well until the FBI reopened her email case 11 days before the election. Donny's trying to pull a repeat with Biden but is coming up empty.brandonp
- I'd honestly be surprised if Military higher ups hadn't actively considered how they'd react if thedonald tried to instigate a coup. Wouldn't go in his favour.Nairn
- No. Trump IS the fucking virus. Spread by the stupidity of his cult.BusterBoy
