I think I would regain respect for the value of any apple gadget only if they were cristal clear about programmed obsolescence. I know it’s not gonna happen, but it’s the only way I would trust in Apple again. Something like “The new iOS gently handles the requirements of iPhone 8+”. If that would happen, I’d be hands down with apple again. Meanwhile, I don’t trust neither respect their shenanigans.
- iOS 14 works up to the 6s, which is 5 years old. Is that not good enough? I use a 7 with a completely shattered display. Still fucking works.ESKEMA
- What shenanigans? Apple supports products older than anyone else dude. Lol.monospaced
- We're way past that point now. Apple's intention has been clear. They make it increasingly difficult to independently repair and maintain devices.face_melter
- Their continued pushback against Right To Repair is reason enough to absolutely distrust them (and others) about anything they do.face_melter
- You’re not talking about iPhones anymore.monospaced
