Was my last year of university, living in a studio with my then girlfriend in Toronto, we had the tv on in the background while making breakfast and the news came on CBC. We called friends there and couldn't get through to anyone for at least 2 or 3 days which was pretty panic inducing, I don't remember anyone really attending classes for a couple months after either. I moved to Barcelona the following year and my Cousin who was stationed in South Korea at the time got dispatched to Afghanistan (then to Iraq, then to Syria). It's crazy to think how long ago this feels and yet how much has happened in the geopolitical landscape in what's really a short period of time since. It seemed like such a haze for those few months or so after this happened.
