just watched the new kaufman movie. it's like he decided to fuck with kubrick, lynch, fulman, etc. but then hit me with some von trier on top of everything. secondly the number of references to other works of art is sometimes difficult to keep up with but engaging. many philosophocal + scientific references too. great writing but deeply cerebral, as all his work is but here he's like letting it all blow out. respect. fine acting by everybody involved. impeccable soundtrack. thoroughly enjoyed it.
