Ooh, fun - it sounds like the various muted forms of sars-cov-2 across the world are genetically fairly distinct, so we can catch two different types on the trot!

Also implies that herd immunity and vaccines might not be quite so useful endgames. Joy!

. o O ( I wonder if that means you can catch two at the same time? what fun!)

Might not be absolute - seems like this is the first verifiable instance and even then it's not 100% AND spreads across two domains of Sars-2, but still.

    • first infection was in march when testing was shit, asymptomatic. either fought off with t-cells or a false positive test. second time a higher viral load andkingsteven
    • mild symptoms - now has antibodies (that will most-likely be effective for other strains)kingsteven

    • Heh, if it's not about Diana's ghost I'm not clicking that link bad enough reading about covid on gizmodo :Dkingsteven
    • Aye, sorry! Gizmodo (et al) and TechCrunch are two sites I can't stand using on the web :) (A shame, I used to love Gizmodo years back)Nairn
    • Heh tbh i'm trying to avoid all the reporting on it. The covid19 reddit and an ocassional a glimpse at the local stats is enough to keep me in the house :)kingsteven
    • ha, likewise - if i see anything of genuine novel interest (like I thought I had here) I'll give it a go. Otherwise, head in the sand.Nairn
    • My wee one learnt to turn on the radio, which I set to classical FM. Every morning I'd end up listening to COVIDPANIC Media News and Gov't ads. Depressing.Nairn
