What’s crazy is he’s gonna go down in the US history books as another great american president. Our kids and their kids and so on will never fully grasp the ridiculousness and despair of his reign

    • That’s some heavy revisionist historyRamanisky2
    • Happened with GW Bush. Now, instead of being in a cell in the Hague he's just a regular beer guy who paints and is friends with Ellen.face_melter
    • All that Iraq / WMD stuff never happened, apparently.face_melter
    • ^ Point takenRamanisky2
    • Hold up, scar ... he will go down as the failure he is among the educated, and the better part of the populace will paint him a bad example for generationsmonospaced
    • As much as they hate it, liberals actually write the textbooks. True scholars and experts in social and political sciences will not write him down as great.monospaced
    • No one in the wider populace gives a shit about that - Reagan is held up by GOP'ers and some libs despite AIDS, Contra, Iran, the deficit, EPA fuckery...face_melter
    • 'among the educated' fuck me. and people wonder how Trump won? The chattering classes tutting about Terrible Trump while their watching their stock portfolios.face_melter
    • i doubt he will go down as a great american president... more like nixon, in the end i think he will fall even harder. he is already impeached, so its not thatneverscared
    • good of a prez. so far anyhow.neverscared
    • @mono "liberals actually write the textbooks"
I think if he gets re-elected he will do everything to change that.
      ********
    • Life goes on. Does anyone really talk about the good things Clinton or Carter did?bainbridge
    • He can’t change that though. Experts, scientists and successful intelligent people are still involved, and those are still liberals.monospaced
    • All he and his idiotic, uneducated followers can do is whine and bitch in broken English. Progress will ignore and leave them behind as it always has.monospaced
    • Their ONLY bet is to dismantle progress through office but they don’t have the time or the knowledge to actually do it. They’re simply not mentally equipped.monospaced
    • They can TRY to defund education, teach creationism, deny science, but it won’t go far as long as scientists and technology still exists.monospaced
    • "scientists and successful intelligent people are still involved,"
This is where all my hopes are, I saw a few countries in the past decade fail in this
      ********
    • war against their populist leadership.
First they take over the media, and education by buying outs and putting loyal people in the critical positions.
      ********
    • Then they start changing the structure slowly, and it all ends changing history in your kids books. And trust me on this I didn't believe either at first,
      ********
    • *said it can't happen.
but i was dead wrong and there are several countries in Europe where these things are changed in an insane way.
      ********
    • Of course the American education system is completely different, but that does not mean that this kind of strategy cannot be applied to it.
