there are memory leaks in flash, too. you may notice that if you test a movie after just booting up a computer, it exports much faster than waiting a few hours.
also, ctrl + alt + delete and take a look at the cpu usage. if you just hold down a mouse button on the stage in an empty flash file, you can jump the % all the way up to 100.
restart the computer. give flash a lil break. it'll thank you later.
