    I’ve done a bit of dev with Unity creating AR for iOS (just personal projects) ....the software to create the experiences is plentiful however the hardware to view AR content is still years away from mainstream use IMO.

    AR on a phone - meh somewhat cool for a few minutes but novelty wears off quickly.
    AR on a Headset - better, but not there yet with most devices still having limited FOV + the rendered content is still ‘ghost’ like in appearance. Will see what comes out in next few years with some serious $$ being thrown at the technical/engineering challenges.

    For doing a QR type AR experience you can check out Unity with Vuforia package installed to create for a variety of platforms ... you can do image target recognition or for more advanced stuff 3D target recognition.

    Plus, Unity has made their entire training catalog free and there are a shit ton of resources to get started.
