A stupid little thing, inspired by a post by SimonFFM and done of within about 25 minutes or so of having watched the vid

Pointless 12cm diameter 1.5mm plywood Thing.

Cut out of a small section from here:

    • Needs a bit of sanding, and I forgot to add some kind of small 'hanger bump with hole' at the top. Could do these in xmassy forms for ultraWoke SacrednessNairn
    • I couldn't find any good links today, so here's my shitty attempt at 'adding something of creative worth to QBN daily'.
      Fighting the good fight.

    • The hard circle line I put around now is really bothering me. That's more than a little shit. I should've at tweaked it in a bit to match the overall thickness.Nairn
    • ..and it shouldn't be a hard circle. the perimeter should undulate to match the inner forms. But hey.Nairn
    • Really dig it. I love those patterns.PhanLo
    • Is it a drinks coaster? Could be attractive to some people if it were.shapesalad
    • reminds me of a roger penrose lecture about his (re)search for in crystal symmetrie:

    • Yeah, I used to use play around with a Penrose generator. Dunno why I stopped - i used to really enjoy fucking around with this sort of shit, and voronoi, etcNairn
    • @shape - it was simply a doodle to see how quickly I could go from video to geometry to Turingy. Too wide and too thin for a coaster.Nairn
    • Also showed it to 'er indoors when I got back, asking if she liked the type of pattern, to which she bluntly said "I prefer the ones you used to do..."Nairn
    • Nairn, do you have your own laser cutter? :Omicrokorg
