I'd love to see social media companies or even the gov ban the use of public officials on such platforms. Im all about freedom but public officials give up freedoms to serve. The discourse through such platforms only enables the worse in humans emotionally triggering without context or understanding of shit. Hell most people who read the tweets have no idea what is what and is why it needs to be emotional. This turns our political system into a idiotic childish highschool melodrama of nonsense. No more is sense and sensibilities based on objective reasoning. We have reverted adults back to their childhood wonder if a prom queen candidate ever said something mean to them. Or wether a friend connected to the account with clout like prom queens friend says you better think this way and vote for her or you get smeared. Its incredible looking from the outside how social media reverts what seemed to be adults back to children.With all their insecurities and trivial shit that parents use to tell the kids it will all change when you are an adult and out and not pidgon holed amongst a very small tribe of people. The true opportunity of adulthood getting away from it and the diversity of thoughts and opinions. Picking and choosing what you believe on emo or reason and being free in a society.
I doubt twitter would ever ban political people considering politicians are main reason they had a profit for once. Better option to hope people disconnect from the social networks. They are so fuckin shallow and pointless and do absolutely no good except for popular high schooler type kids which well always have a following of idiots which getting out of high school experience is suppose to fix...
