A well-off friend has one of those trashcan Macs... as a media server.
I saw it sitting on the floor in his living room and did a double-take, especially as I've never seen one in the flesh.
Neat little machine - i took it apart to have a look as soon as his back was turned :)
.
I just checked to see how much they cost second hand - it's obvious in hindsight, but realising they hail from 2013 is another of those moments where I realise how old (and irrelevant) I am!
- Poor thing's never been used to anything like a single % of its capability.Nairn
- The fact that it’s widely known as the Trash Can Mac is a lesson that should be taught in design schoolsnb
- They'll make a pyramid one soon to complete the set after this and the Cube.face_melter
- I still have mine, it randomly fried but apple fixed it for $800, I don't use it and should sell it, slow piece of shit.moldero
- I’ve still got my cube, but I don’t have the tools to return it into an asquariumMrT
