Not sure how helpful this will be to you, but I'm looking at something called SiteMason. http://www.sitemason.com
One tool (and I saw this demonstrated but it might not be quite out yet) that looked great for my use is the ability to quickly upload files and share with your clients (password protected so you can control who sees what), and also for your clients to upload files for you. Your clients (say an involved team) could even share and comment with one another for you to see.
Not sure if that makes sense, I haven't had my caffeine fix yet.
